Over 160 Nyamango Technical Patriotism students passed out

Kyenjojo Deputy RDC Mr. ALLAN BAMUHA (Chief Guest) presided over the passing out of over 160 students and some staff members at Nyamango Technical Institute grounds. The training which took one week (from 17-21 June 2024) saw students and some staff members go through physical fitness drills and some lectures on patriotism. During the ceremony, the institute Principal Mr. KASAPULI GREGORY DOMINIC laid out some of the challenges the institute is facing like shortage of teaching staff on government payroll, lack of hostels for girls and many others. The principal also requested this training to be held annually at the institute.

In the speech of the Chief Guest, the Deputy RDC congratulated the participants and encouraged them to love and be ready to defend their country. He also advised students to be disciplined, develop a saving culture, avoid alcoholism, focus on their studies, to stay away from sexual related acts because HIV/AIDS is real and not to accept any corruption acts since they are the leaders of tomorrow. He also informed the congregation that, the Office of the President Kyenjojo will work hand in hand with the institute administration to sort out some of the institute challenges to relevant authorities and market the institute in the district.

Other invited guests at the ceremony included; Chairperson BOG Nyamango Technical Institute, Vice chairperson LC5 Kyenjojo district, DEO Kyenjojo district, DISO, the newly appointed Ass. RDC Kyenjojo, District Speaker among others.
